Immune Boosting Lemon & Ginger Tea
Try this fresh and invigorating tea the next time you're feeling under the weather. It's quick, easy, and uses many common - but highly medicinal - kitchen ingredients. Lemon is cleansing and detoxifying to our system, making it a great go-to ingredient during the first signs of illness. Ginger aids digestion and circulation, warming our bodies and settling upset stomachs. Cayenne is warming as well, but also synergizes any formula that it is in, carrying it into our systems quicker. Here's the recipe:
(¼) cup Ginger, freshly sliced
(1) cup water
(1) pinch Cayenne Pepper
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil, add fresh ginger, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes. Strain out ginger and add freshly squeezed Lemon juice and Honey to taste. Top off with a pinch of Cayenne Pepper, mix and enjoy.
